Thank you for your interest in the United Church of Broomfield Preschool. We are currently taking applications for fall registration.

The preschool operates out of the United Church of Broomfield, located at 825 Kohl Street. We are a non-religious preschool. Our hours of operation are from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Student/Teacher ratios are 5 to 1 in the preschool class and 8 to 1 in the pre-kindergarten class.

We offer three types of classes. The two day a week class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:00 to 11:30, is for children ages three to four years old. The tuition for this class is $130.00 per month. The three days a week program is held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 9:00 – 11:30, and is for children ages three to four years old. Tuition for this class is $175.00 per month. We have a pre-kindergarten class that meets Monday through Thursday. This class is in session from 9:00 – 11:30. Only children who will be attending kindergarten the following year are eligible for this class (your child must be 4 years old by September 30^th). Tuition for the Pre-K class is $215.00 per month. Please check availability with the director.

A deposit of $25, plus the $25 registration fee is required to hold your child’s spot. This deposit, as well as the registration fee is not refundable. The balance of September’s tuition is due at the August open house. Please make checks payable to the U.C.B. Preschool.

PRESCHOOL

The United Church of Broomfield Preschool is a program for children ages 3-5 years. A variety of classes are offered:

2011-2012 School Year

Preschool Classes for ages 3-5 years

Tuesday/Thursday 9:00AM-11:30AM

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00AM-11:30AM

Pre-Kindergarten Classes*

Monday –thru– Thursday 9:00AM-11:30AM

*Pre-Kindergarten Classes are for children who will be attending Kindergarten the following year.

The Preschool curriculum is play-based and includes:

· Sharing and conversation time

· Songs

· Finger plays

· Creative arts

· Crafts, games, large muscle activities, food preparation, science, nature activities

· Exposure to shapes, colors, numbers and letters

· Celebration of birthdays and holidays

While the Preschool is a program and outreach ministry of the United Church of Broomfield, the curriculum is not religious based. The teachers do include values and character development; religious specific ideas are not taught. This allows people from any faith background who are in need of preschool to participate. As an outreach, the Preschool focuses on helping those who truly need a program by keeping fees low and offering scholarships to those who qualify.

It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive - our program strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in its students. We provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole.

Tuition Fees for

2011-2012 School Year

Tuesday/Thursday = $130 per month

Monday/Wednesday/Friday = $175 per month

Pre-K = $215 per month

Our school was started in September 1995 and now has 35 children, a director, 2 teachers and 1 aids.
